This is my first entry, I am so excited and I really hope that anyone will read this. xD

I have been given the first book several years ago and now I have finally decided to read it.

Content

The protagonist of this trilogy is Helen Hamilton. The girl lives a normal live on a small island until the day she is told by the mysterious Delos Family that she is, like them, a demigod. She is only learning to control her new powers and her feelings towards Lucas Delos when a war is approaching because the gods fear their power being taken away by their children, the demigods. It seems like Helen is the only one able to prevent that world destroying fight. Luckily she gets help from Orion, another demigod who is also able to go to the Hades. Will the two of them solve their dangerous task or will they lose themselves on that dangerous journey? Will the war be stopped? And at last, what will Helen listen to her heart or her mind?

My Review

I am not such a big fan of romantic books, so I think it was okay...

I don't want to spoiler, so I will  try to paraphrase the problem a bit... two people are meant to be together and really love each other, but they can't be together because of a lie and the reader knows the truth the whole time... it really annoyed me and it kind of made me aggressive every once in a while... xD Well, it still ended up being a little spoiler, sorry.

The end is really... happy. I don't have anything against Happy Endings in generally, but this one ended up way too convenient for the characters, because EVERYONE is together with someone  at the end and it is obvious that it will continue like that throughout the whole last book.

BUT I really like the way the fight between the gods and the demigods is solved. In my opinion it is tricky and intelligent.

Another positive aspect is that you learn much about the Greek mythology and the Greek gods. I had the subject covered in school so it was really interesting to read the books with the knowledge I already had. But reading the trilogy without any knowledge of the Greek gods is not a problem either.

Recommendation

I would recommend the 'Starcrossed' trilogy to everyone who enjoys reading love stories with many nice characters to love and to cuddle. You'll love every single member of the adorable Delos Family and you will hate everyone who conspires against them.
